Always inclined towards the entrepreneurial aspect of business, Avanish has time and again been associated with projects where he has proved his ability to set up things from the planning stage right through to completion. Not only did he initiate the start-up of MF Global subsidiaries in Dubai, but also was responsible for a large portion of the revenues generated in that year. He was a key member of the team that was responsible for setting up the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange, the first commodities derivatives exchange in the Middle East.
